Town of St. Francisville Historic District Commission Meeting Minutes from the Wednesday-August 11, 2021, meeting that was held at 5:30pm at the Town Hall.
 
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Paul Martin at 5:35pm
Members present:  Herschel Harrington, Paul Martin, Lynn Leak, Drew Nordgren and Jim Dart.
Members absent:
Guests present: Stuart Maginnis
 
AGENDA/MINUTES:
 
·       A motion was made by Jim Dart and seconded by Drew Nordgren to approve the agenda as presented.  Motion carried.
·       A motion was made by Jim Dart and seconded by Lynn Leak to accept and approve the minutes from the July 28, 2021, meeting as presented.  Motion carried.
 
THE FLOOR WAS OPENED FOR PUBLIC COMMENT:
OLD BUSINESS:
·       A motion was made by Herschel Harrington and seconded by Drew Nordgren to approve the design and the brick to be used on the front steps and walkway on Seabrook 9889 Royal Street.  Motion passed, vote taken:  Herschel Harrington yeah, Lynn Leak yeah, Drew Nordgren yeah, Jim Dart nay.  Chairman Paul Martin does not vote. 
NEW BUSINESS:
·       A motion was made by Jim Dart and seconded by Drew Nordgren to approve the demolition of the Car Wash located at 5614 Commerce St and to have the property owner present a landscape and parking plan for the property.  All in favor, motion passed.
·       A motion was made by Drew Nordgren and seconded by Herschel Harrington to approve the replacement of the shingle roof with a standing seam galvalume metal roof on the Chase Ministries Building 9866 Royal Street.  All in favor, motion passed.
 
ADJOURNMENT:
A motion was made by Jim Dart and seconded by Lynn Leak to adjourn the meeting at 6:15pm. 
Motion carried.
