MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN OF ST. FRANCISVILLE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN, ST. FRANCISVILLE, LA, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2018 at 5:30 P.M.
 
The Town of St. Francisville Board of Aldermen met in regular session this 13th day of November 2018 at 11936 Ferdinand St., Town Hall, St. Francisville, LA.  The meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. with the following members present: Mayor William H. D’Aquilla, Alderman James R. Leake,  Alderman Susie Tully and Alderman Bryan Kelley.  Also present, Town Attorney Jesse Means, Assistant Town Attorney Leslie Daniel, Main Street Manager Laurie Walsh and Town Clerk Shannon Sturgeon.
 
Absent:  Alderman Abby T. Cochran,  Alderman Gigi Robertson and Police Chief Scott Ford
 
Prayer led by Alderman Susie Tully.
 
The pledge led by Alderman James R. Leake.
 
Motion made by Susie Tully, seconded by James R. Leake to approve the minutes from the last regular meeting October 23, 2018.  All in favor, none opposed.  Motioned carried.
     
PUBLIC MEETING
 
Open Floor for Public Comment.  
Mayor D’Aquilla opened the floor for public comments before commencing with new business.  
 
Ms. Sara Wilson Wright thanked the mayor and alderman for assistance the Town of St. Francisville has provided to aid in the preservation of the historical Old Benevolent Society Building.  A Facebook page called “Save the Old Benevolent Society Building” has been created, Main Street Manager Laurie Walsh and Town Alderman are serving on a committee that has recently been established and it has been determined that the Benevolent Society Building will qualify under an existing 5013C designation. In the near future, a Go Fund Me Page will be set up to raise funds needed to preserve the building from any further damage.
 
New Business:
 
Motion made by James R. Leake, seconded by Brian Kelley to amend the agenda to add “Approve Liquor Permit Application for Restaurant 1796 Located at Myrtles Plantation”.
 
PEC Report – Update submitted by via email by Bianca Hillhouse of Professional Engineering Corporation (PEC).
 
Approve Liquor Permit Application for Chill  Mill, LLC Located at 7171 LA Hwy 61.
Motion made by Susie Tully, seconded by Brian Kelly to approve the liquor permit application for Chill Mill, LLC.  All in favor, none opposed.  Motion carried.
 
Approve Liquor Permit Application for Restaurant 1796 Located at Myrtles Plantation.
Motion made by James R. Leake, seconded by Susie Tully to approve the liquor permit application for Restaurant 1796.  All in favor, none opposed.  Motion carried.
